RESPONSIBILITY STATEMENTS

  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of trade lifecycles by interacting with various stakeholders.
  • Operational responsibilities for REPO, Reverse REPO and Securities Lending.
  • Cash and collateral management.
  • Responsible for daily Fed settlement of MBS and Treasury using BONY BDC.
  • Primary point of contact for Front Office.
  • Data providers for stakeholders and various dependencies.
  • Day to day trade processing and settlement of same day Repo, Triparty, GCF
  • Monitoring FICC RTTM, GSCC obligations and managing GCF (General Collateral Finance).
  • Ensure liquidity needs between accounts are met daily.
  • Optimize delivery opportunities using partials and pair-off’s.
  • Prepare and maintain TMPG fails charges.
  • Oversee client accounts and ensure all margin calls are reviewed and responded to, to help mitigate risk
  • Escalate issues and breaks to appropriate stakeholders including management and traders
  • Propose enhancements to current processes
  • Work with other team members to assess customer needs and offer appropriate solutions
  • Acts as Relationship Manager by offering value-added advice and guidance to customers and lacing their needs at the forefront of all that we do, setting world class standards.
  • Builds a network of business introducers in the local professional and business community.
  • Generates quality assets through the use of appropriate risk management tools, price appropriately for risk and ensure superior returns within risk appetite.
  • Increases profitability, relationship depth while minimizing risk.
  • Keeps abreast of external factors influencing international and domestic business (i.e economic, cultural, geographical, procedural and regulatory requirements).
  • Proactively develops effective strategies to manage new relationships by anticipating customer needs and providing superior quality services resulting in increased wallet share.
  • Structures credit facilities to ensure optimum balance between customer and Santander interests within the bounds of prudent banking.
  • Targets acquisition of quality new customers and grow sustainable revenues from these relationships.
  • Works with product partners to assess customer needs and offer appropriate solutions.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience - Business or equivalent degree.


WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 9-12 years - Experience managing commercial relationships.

  • Ability to develop resolution to complex problems that require the frequent use of creativity
  • Ability to expand client relationships and bank products
  • Ability to work with excel, create macros, and automate workflows
  • Excellent analytical and negotiation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Exhibit an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity and resourcefulness in decision making and problem solving
  • Expert knowledge of overall lending policies and procedures, credit analysis, underwriting, structuring, etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of other banking products and the ability to apply that information to this role
  • Knowledge of the Santander's Commercial Banking products and services
  • Knowledge of different BONY systems including BDC and AccessEdge and FICC’s RTTM/CFM
  • Knowledge of Broadridge IMPACT and Phase 3 is a plus
  • Motivational, budgeting and project management experience preferred
  • Proven ability in identifying and meeting customer needs through a broad range of products and services
  • Proven ability to deliver customized/flexible solutions appropriate to customer needs
  • Proven analytical ability, with experience of credit or relationship management
  • Proven level of business acumen and commercial awareness including economic, cultural, procedural and regulatory issues
  • Solid judgment within broadly defined policies and practices
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Strong influence, relationship building ability and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Working knowledge in Commercial Banking

For NYC Job Applicants: The base annual salary range for this position is $87,897-$135,000.The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
