Returnships at Santander


What is a Returnship?

Well, at Santander, it’s a paid internship for experienced professionals who’ve left the workforce for various reasons – maybe to have children or care for an ill family member – and are ready to return. We want them to return with us. Why? Because we know this talent pool runs deep and we feel it’s important they get support to roll up their sleeves and rejoin the workforce. We give participants the chance to brush up on their skills and learn about how the tools, technology and industry may have changed while they were out. And we’re ready to go even further. Not only is this an opportunity to update expertise, it’s also a chance to grow and thrive as part of Santander when the program ends.

Here are the details.

The inaugural program ran from Sept. 9, 2019 to Nov. 26, 2019, and included the following roles:

  • Enterprise Risk Manager – Material Risk Program
  • Product Accelerator- Digital, Innovation & Payment Strategy
  • Project Manager – Commercial Banking
  • Project Manager – Human Resources

As part of the program, you get the opportunity to level-up your skills with training and the chance to grow your network with Santander employees. Even better? Although there is no guarantee, upon completion of the program you could get a job offer!
