Description

The Director, Platform & Delivery Management, Commercial Lending Loan Accounting Systems will be accountable for leading the vision, strategy and its execution for the systems and technology platforms within its domain.
The Director, Platform & Delivery Management, Commercial Lending Loan Accounting Systems will be accountable for and directly managing the projects in the domain to completion within scope, cost and time. S/he will manage a team of highly skilled and motivated individuals, consistent of Delivery Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, Testers and System Integrators.
The Director, Platform & Delivery Management, Commercial Lending Loan Accounting Systems will equally be accountable for creating and maintaining an operational excellence of the platforms, including the production uptime, incident management, vendor management, and financials. S/he will work with Applications Owners and Application Support teams to achieve this.
Responsibilities:
  • The incumbent will be: Responsible for conducting a Market Analysis on Loan Accounting Platforms to formulate a recommendation and strategy to evolve the Commercial banks’ current systems
  • Subsequently, responsible to carry out the transition to the defined target state
  • Responsible to ensure effective Information Technology controls are designed, implemented and monitored
  • Accountable to simplify the technology stack, working towards decommissioning legacy applications
  • Accountable to eliminate manual processes by implementing real-time integrations
  • Accountable to implement a data architecture, processing and controls best practices that will provide quality data at the source with clear lineage to downstream reporting
  • Authors and drives feature specifications with the dedicated Engineering team
  • Defines the user and customer journeys and user experience, partnering with our creative staff to deliver amazing designs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science engineering, an equivalent discipline, or equivalent work experience
  • Master's Degree in computer science engineering, an equivalent discipline preferred
  • 9-12 years’ experience in IT Project Management, Development Team Management and/or Application Portfolio Management
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Demonstrated knowledge of external competition, industry and/or market trends in relation to own business
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the latest technology innovations and their applicability to business operations
  • Demonstrated relationship management and leadership skills with a superior ability to make things happen through the use of influence and negotiation with all levels of management
  • Demonstrated understanding of IT Service Management concepts and procedures
  • Highly flexible and able to quickly adapt to changing priorities
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, customer oriented and able to work independently as well as within a team
  • IT Effectiveness: application sourcing, technology strategy and planning
  • Metrics knowledge
  • Proactive team player with effective time management skills; ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines/projects and keep key players informed,
  • Proven track record managing large, complex software development/integration projects in both host and distributed environments
  • Quality management skills
  • Strong program, project management, and leadership skill
  • Strong reporting, decision making, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing, and walking
