Sr. Analyst, Credit Risk ReviewApply
Santander Holdings USA Credit Risk Review is looking to add a Credit Analyst to its Risk team in Dallas, Texas. The Analyst would be responsible for assisting Credit Risk Examiners in large-scale evaluations of the strategies and processes of the major areas of the firm, and develop reports of their findings to Senior Management. Credit Risk Review is a part of the Third Line of Defense for Santander Holdings USA and is responsible for the assessment and articulation of risk to the Board of Directors.
·Analyze the strategic and functional aspects of the firm in order to assess performance and determine critical areas of risk.
·Assess controls and risk environment of the firm, including mitigation strategies, compliance with applicable laws and regulations, as well as firm interactions with Third Parties such as Internal Audit, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Federal Reserve, and the Securities and Exchange Commission.
·Interact with senior leaders and other personnel in order to evaluate effectiveness of staffing and management.
·Create written reports and briefs in order to assist Credit Risk Examiner in communication of findings to the Board and applicable parties.
·Monitor bank portfolios, including, but not limited to: New Originations, Servicing, Loss Performance, etc. for emerging trends and indicators of risk
·Develop a strong knowledge base of functional areas in order to assist Risk Examiner’s reviews, and become a subject matter expert.
·Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university in finance, economics, accounting, mathematics, or similar field.
·5+ years’ experience in either risk, finance, internal audit, strategy, with a preference for previous regulatory and compliance experience. Auto lending experience a plus.
·Strong analytical skills and natural curiosity, candidate must have an investigative mindset and desire to learn as much as he or she can about a given subject.
·Strong written and verbal communication skills, candidate must have demonstrable ability to articulate his or her thoughts in a concise and effective manner.
·Working knowledge and industry expertise of regulatory, compliance, and operational matters related to consumer lending.
·Working Microsoft Office knowledge (Powerpoint, Excel, Word). SQL experience strongly preferred.
