Description

As a member of Santander’s retail banking division you’ll help serve Santander’s retail and small business customers as part of one of the top banks in the United States based on deposits. With principal presence in the northeast U.S., Santander’s retail division offers consumer and lending products to help our customers reach their financial goals. Santander currently serves nearly 2 million retail customers, and 5.2% of the 2.7 million small businesses in the US footprint have a transactional account with Santander Bank.

The Mass Affluent Associate will report to the Mass Affluent Director.This individual will focus on the execution of a best-in-class segment strategy and client experience.



Responsibilities

  • Responsible for launch and ongoing management of major strategic initiatives supporting the Mass Affluent segment
  • Utilize best practices, from both within and outside of Financial Services, to identify path for new strategic efforts
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to build sound and responsible operational processes
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time and within scope
  • Partner with analytic teams to create impact analyses to inform decision making
  • Perform trend analyses of implemented initiatives to ensure achievement of stated objectives and goals; identify course correction options as needed
  • Form strong working relationships with strategic partners such as those in Investments, Business Banking, and Mortgage
  • Work closely with Communication, Capacity, and Sales Strategy teams to determine the appropriate processes to incorporate new behavior initiatives to the field
  • Stay abreast of changes to banking industry, competitive environment, and other areas in the Mass Affluent space
  • Maintain a client-centric and banker-centric view in all day to day work
  • Escalate issues as needed

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in Financial Services or a similar Consumer focused industry
  • 2-3 years of experience working with Affluent / High Net Worth clients
  • Understanding of consumer strategy or marketing
  • Sound operational judgment
  • Competency in client experience, strategic thinking, relationship building, and time management
  • Ability to succeed and maintain a positive attitude under tight deadlines
  • Ability to lead by influence
  • Capability to lead multiple project teams simultaneously, and deliver each on-time and within scope
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to use data to spot trends, tell a story, and identify potential courses of action
  • Expertise with Power Point, Word and Excel
  • Self-starter
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Finance, Business Administration, Insurance, Economics, or equivalent experience required
