Description

The associate is responsible for various activities related to risk management performance. Works to identify, assess and action various risks throughout the assigned business line by executing defined risk programs. The Sr. Analyst is responsible for developing, analyzing, reporting and challenging data. S/he participates in initiatives and recommends opportunities for improved efficiency, effectiveness and/or risk reduction. The associate will assist with the execution of the various compliance, governance and reporting related responsibilities across CIB, including execution of the Bank’s Compliance Risk Management program and Enterprise Risk Framework. Provide support, as necessary, to the other Business Control & Risk Management team members with the execution of the Operational Risk Management Program, Control Testing Program, and AML/OFAC Compliance Program.

  • Acquires and applies a developing knowledge of the regulatory environment to ensure processes are executed in compliance with applicable laws/regulations and internal policy requirements
  • Assists in the execution and reporting of Risk Control Self-Assessments (RCSA's), Compliance Training Program, Material Risk Program, and Heightened Standards
  • Assists with the development, documentation and reporting of achievable and sustainable action plans to remediate identified control weaknesses and strengthen the overall control effectiveness environment
  • Identifies opportunities for efficiencies and improvement that will strengthen the overall risk management and governance environment in alignment with enterprise risk and compliance frameworks
  • Partners with key stakeholders to identify, develop and monitor applicable key risk indicators
  • Assist with special projects on an as needed basis
  • Performs first line of defense data analysis and report preparation utilizing business intelligence tools
  • Supports management on the identification and measurement of trends and improvements utilizing best practices

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills
  • Experience in gap or risk analysis and working with metric stream
  • Issue management experience (validation, mapping to controls, remediation planning, tracking and reporting)
  • Knowledge and experience with IT risk management and use of control frameworks
  • Knowledge and working understanding of additional auditing standards, theories, concepts, and terms (including Sarbanes-Oxley, COBIT and the COSO Integrated Control Framework)
  • Operational Risk Management Experience
