As a member of Santander’s retail banking division you’ll help serve Santander’s retail and small business customers as part of one of the top banks in the United States based on deposits.  With principal presence in the northeast U.S., Santander’s retail division offers consumer and lending products to help our customers reach their financial goals.  Santander currently serves nearly 2 million retail customers and 5.2% of the 2.7 million small businesses in the US footprint have a transactional account with Santander Bank.

The Client Service Associate (CSA) is a sales support role within the Administration Department of Santander Investments, LLC.   The CSA promotes and supports the financial consultant (FC) and the Bank’s clients with the administrative and service functions of the business.  The CSA operates remotely in a corporate office; the FC functions within the branch network.  As a team, The CSAs collectively assure adequate support to the Firm’s top producing FCs.  The CSA Team supports each other and interacts with branch and home office associates as well as clients.  A successful CSA understands and excels in all systems and processes as well as policies and procedures and is a great asset to their FC partners.  The candidate may have sales experience or aspires to a brokerage sales career.   Respect for the client, both our internal partners and external Bank clients is paramount in importance and central to the role.  The ability to understand as well as communicate effectively and efficiency is critical to the role.

 The CSA provides infrastructure support to a number of Financial         Consultants (FCs) and is driven to provide superior service for both internal      and external clients

  Operates from a corporate location

Is able to work efficiently as well as independently in a team environment

Is able to apply industry knowledge and problem solve within the framework of the described role

Manages corporate records

Handles customer requests and inquires

Manages the FC’s calendars including scheduling appointments

Provides Administrative support including Faxing, scanning, uploading documents, and data entry

Is able to interact directly with clients from a remote office

Is able to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment


[EDUCATION] Associate's Degree; in Finance, Business Administration, Insurance, Economics, Communications or Equivalent field.,or equivalent work experience; [WORK EXPERIENCE] 0-3 years; Experience in customer service, sales related occupations. [LICENSE/CERTIFICATION] License/Certification/Designation: ChFC, CLU, other industry designations desirable [SKILLS AND ABILITIES] Excellent follow through and attention to detail,Skilled at coordinating multiple projects within tight timelines,Strong PowerPoint and excel skills,Strong verbal and written communication skills [PHYSICAL DEMANDS] Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing, and walking. [COMPETENCIES] Actively seeks information to understand customer needs,Foundational - Learning and developingEnsures all tasks are carried out correctly Learns from past mistakes and ensures that they are not repeated in similar future situations,Openly and proactively shares information,Works effectively in team settingsShows appreciation for others' help and lends a hand when needed to complete shared tasks
